Lauren Dauphin

Lauren Dauphin is an 18 year old that is currently in grade 12. She started smoking in the summer of grade 8 when she was 13 years old. Her dad still currently smokes and her mom has quit, her dad is also one of the few that provide her with smokes, her aunt and friends at school help her get them. She used to buy them herself but has stopped. She tends to just act on things instead of stopping and thinking about what she's going to do . Her grandfather passed away from lung cancer and mentioned that 95% of her friends smoke. She smokes everyday and has one almost every 2 hours, she smokes in stressful situations as well as social and says that smoking calms her down. Lauren is aware that she is addicted and knows that her parents do not approve and also regrets the decision of starting. Lauren knows that some of the side effects include shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pains, coughing up tar, and not being able to exercise heavily.
